Circle Jerks’ 1980 debut, Group Sex, is a paragon of first-wave hardcore that helped legitimize and guide the genre going forward. Their 1982 follow-up, Wild in the Streets, isn’t quite as important from a historical standpoint, but it’s still a fantastic collection of hard-skanking punk songs that find vocalist Keith Morris in peak, pogo-jumping form. This 40th anniversary deluxe edition honors the album with a 20-page booklet, remastered audio and three live bonus tracks. For hardcore fans, this is an essential buy.
