DANZIG 'DANZIG III: HOW THE GODS KILL' LP

LABEL: American Recordings
RELEASE DATE: 04/10/2026
VARIANT: Black Vinyl LP

There’s perhaps no album quite as whimsically heavy in Danzig’s early catalogue as his band’s third full-length, 1992’s Danzig III: How the Gods Kill. Sweeping, outsized arrangements like “Godless” ebb and flow through towering gloom, raunchy blues-metal and tastefully-shredded soloing. “Dirty Black Summer” is chest-pounding machismo personified, while the soul-searching title track drips with gothic pathos. Sporting some of Glenn Danzig’s most fiery vocal performances, and wrapped up in a mystifyingly sexy, serpentine record sleeve from Alien artist H.R. Giger, How the Gods Kill is the total package.
