DEEP PURPLE 'MACHINE HEAD' LP

Deep Purple were already five albums deep by the time they released Machine Head in 1972, but this would go down as their most impactful. Recorded live at the Grand Hotel Montreux, Switzerland, the English band wanted to capture the frenetic electricity of their concerts, and the experiment became their most commercially successful album. Boasting timeless cuts like “Smoke on the Water” and “Highway Star,” this selection of indomitable Ritchie Blackmore riffs had a keen influence on Iron Maiden, Metallica and more.
