Any metal fan who came of age in the last 20 years — hell, any rock fan — would understand the reference if you walked up to them on the street and muttered, “Let the bodies hit the floor.” Drowning Pool’s iconic breakout, “Bodies,” is a definitive nu-metal classic, but the Dallas band’s entire debut full-length is packed with high-energy bangers like “Tear Away” and “Sinner” that’re right up there with the early work of Mudvayne, Coal Chamber, Disturbed and more.
