JUDAS PRIEST 'BRITISH STEEL' LP

Judas Priest were already metal gods by the time they delivered British Steel in the spring of 1980, yet the NWOBHM group’s sixth full-length likewise marked their major breakthrough in the U.S., cracking the Top 50 in the album charts and going platinum in the process. British Steel slashes through the speakers with tight, harmonic heaviness and the eagle-screech fury of Rob Halford, and it still commands spiked-gauntlet legion to sing along to king-sized Eighties anthems “Breaking the Law” and “Living After Midnight.”
