JUDAS PRIEST ‘UNLEASHED IN THE EAST’ LP

Recorded in Tokyo, Japan in early 1979, Unleashed in the East documents how unstoppable Judas Priest had become as the decade came to a close. The band’s first live album highlights standout songs from Priest’s repertoire, from the double-time gallop of “Exciter” to the epically harmonious and outsized “Sinner” to their rock-solid cover of Joan Baez’s “Diamonds and Rust.” Led by Rob Halford’s screamin’ eagle fury, sporting signature twin guitar dynamics and played in front of a feverish Japanese crowd, it’s a concert experience that needs to be relived again and again.
