MASTODON 'REMISSION' 2LP (Neon Violet Vinyl)

LABEL: RELAPSE
VINYL RELEASE DATE: 08/18/2023
VARIANT: Neon Violet Vinyl 2LP

Few debut albums feature as perfectly a titled song as Remission’s “Crusher Destroyer.” Sure enough, Mastodon’s first full-length was a remarkable peek at greatness to come, with the Georgia foursome quickly crushing and destroying anything in their path through a mix of progressive whimsy, sludge riffs thicker than a down-south mud pit and beastly bellowing sessions. While they’d incredibly level up their intensity and inventiveness on sophomore effort Leviathan, Remission remains a stunning and savage intro to the mighty Mastodon catalogue. Available now on two slabs of shocking “Neon Violet” vinyl.
