SOUNDGARDEN 'BADMOTORFINGER' LP (Black Vinyl, Import)

LABEL: AIS
VINYL RELEASE DATE: 10/1/1991
ALBUM RELEASE DATE: 10/1/1991
VARIANT: IMPORT BLACK VINYL LP

Released the same day as Nirvana’s Nevermind, Soundgarden’s third LP, Badmotorfinger, was initially overshadowed, but in time, it’s become revered as one of their best. The Seattle band’s self-described “thinking man’s metal” was perfectly honed here, and Chris Cornell’s timeless wails on a song like “Jesus Christ Pose” continue to sound haunting to this day. It’s a grunge record for the metalheads and a metal record for the college-rock listeners, and it deserves a spot in your vinyl collection. Eli Enis
