CASTLE RAT PREMIERE MUSIC VIDEO FOR "SIREN"

Photo: Olivia Cummings Brooklyn fantasy doom act Castle Rat have dropped the video for “Siren,” the latest cut from The Bestiary. Frontwoman Riley Pinkerton — the Rat Queen — goes head to head with a siren while the band plays in front of a green screen crackling with lightning. Campy, committed, and completely on brand. The timing is deliberate. Castle Rat just released a 20-minute KEXP session that ends with their now-famous staged battle between Pinkerton and the Rat Reaperess — the sequence that went viral across metal social media last year. “Siren” keeps that same theatrical energy moving.   Up next: a support run with Amon Amarth and Dethklok starting in Phoenix, followed by European dates in late July.
